About Lamborghini Urus

Lamborghini has finally launched its highly anticipated SUV, the Urus at Rs 3.0 crore (Ex-showroom, pan India). The Urus is a spiritual successor of the Lamborghini LM002 SUV from the 1980s, and marks the carmaker’s return to the SUV segment after ages. As is the case with all the Lamborghinis, the Urus too shares its name with a bull. While the Urus looks rugged and a high rider, its coupé-style roofline, frameless doors and other bits are reminiscent of the brand’s sports cars. It shares the MLB platform with other high-end performance-oriented SUVs from Volkswagen Group such as the Bentley Bentayga, Audi Q7, and the Porsche Cayenne. The Urus features a front-mounted 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine that puts out 650PS of max power and 850Nm of peak torque and is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. It sprints from 0-100kmph in merely 3.6 seconds and can hit a top speed of 305kmph.

Lamborghini Urus OverView

Frankly, the Urus needs no introduction. Why, you ask? Well, for the simple reason that it was born as the fastest production SUV in the world. While the terms, fastest and SUV’s don’t really go together, the world has suddenly seen a massive demand for sport utility vehicles and while they are made for practicality and space, the manufacturers decided to throw in big performance as well.
